I guess i've done quite a lot with my little life so far.
You don't really think about it everyday, but i guess the things i have done have, somewhat made me who i am today.
I've been to QLD, Vanuatu, Bali, Thailand, America and Papua New Guinea.
I've experienced life of different cultures, come to realise that I am very lucky to live where i do, especially in this time era. Noted that you don't need material items to make you happy, yet we continue to use it constantly. Seen poverty, sickness and disease.Yet these people are grateful for each and every day, making the most of it.
I've run charity fundraisers with friends for the school.
I've gone on the 'fastest rides in the world', been inside the 'biggest maccas of the world' and learnt how to mimic an plausible American accent.
I know what it's like to love and loose.
I've spent 2 weeks living with friends in qld.
I've helped people when they needed me and depended on others to get me through situations.
And i'm sure there's lots more i can't really think of right now....
I think the most significant turning point in my life was when i walked Kokoda at the age of 16. Re-tracing the steps the diggers who died for our country. Once in a lifetime experience with experiences and knowledge for a lifetime.I learnt determination - there is nothing in the whole world you cannot do, when you really put your mind to it. I gained a serious appreciation for friendship through times i thought i couldn't go on. Learnt the generosity of people you don't know personally and the love, admiration and attachment i could have for someone i never knew. I cried for three hours in front of a grave of a boy who died at nineteen years of age.
Okay, so it sounded a whole heap better in my head.. haha
ps. this posting was forced - i apologise for the boredom =P
